The brand new Tiger TT150 would appear, to some, to be a right old mess, apparently alternating between going bust and hand-building bikes untainted by mass appeal. But people would misjudging the new Tiger TT150.The Tiger TT150, a café racer, which offers the full-bodied flavor of a classic bike without the hassle or looking endless for spare parts or unpleasant stains. Could this Tiger TT150 be the perfect summer toy??
The Tiger TT150 is build around a modern 150cc four-stroke single with twin shocks, a single disc and absolute no fairing of importance. The Tiger TT150 basically looks like a bike from '60s, but it's not a copy. The TT150 is a modern motorcycle with the frame, suspension and brake being to modern standards. Matter of fact to its low-overall-weight the bike stops much quicker then you would expect.
You need only one look at the Tiger TT150 and you can see where Tiger got its inspiration, the style lets everybody dream back to the days that motorcycles like this where TT-winning magic machines. The Tiger TT150 is a replica of a early European TT-racing machine. Actually, replica is a bit strong; homage would be more accurate.
It doesn't take long to draw the comparison to the Royal-Enfield Bullet, but as a Enfield owner, corners are a wake-up call, though. The Tiger TT150 suspension is modern, with a pair of very good rear shocks and old-style forks with actually very modern internals, you can do things that Enfield riders can only dream off.
Skimming down a local back road – chest on the tank, knees tucked in – I can see where he's coming from. The tiny bike dances across undulations while the 150cc SOHC engine shouts through the megaphone exhaust, doing a passable impression of well-fettled classic racer. O this bike is what I ever wanted.....
